Each year, we review our performance through detailed outcome reports and patient feedback. These reports highlight what matters most to you — faster recovery times and fewer complications.

2025 Outcome Highlights

  • Patient satisfaction at COI continues to outpace our national peers. 92% of COI patients rated their experience as Very Good and 7% as Good.
  • Surgical site infection rates remained below 1% for both hip and knee replacements and spine surgeries.
  • Patients receiving total hip and knee replacements at COI went home sooner after surgery (1.1 days) than the national average (1.3 days).
  • Patients receiving total hip and knee replacements were less likely to be readmitted (1.4% of patients) than the national average (3.8%).
  • 91% of spine surgery patients and 98% of hip and knee replacement patients went directly home after surgery instead of a skilled nursing facility, beating the national average (88% and 92% respectively).
  • 31% of hip and knee replacement patients went home the same day.
